Pause for a moment, dear human. The time has come! The time to ask yourself: where do you truly live? Or even better, where do you keep getting lost? You are losing yourself and your Truth.
Every time you are not here, you are lost. And how is it possible not to be here, if you are? Most of the time you are here physically, but your essence, your life energy, is lost in your thoughts. In one day you think about 70,000 thoughts, and most of them are directed toward the past or the future. Very, very little of your attention is focused on what is happening here and now.
You are used to replaying and analyzing the past. Asking yourself what you could have done differently. Mourning the “good old times.” Missing yourself as you once were, when you still had this or that. And you are even more used to being focused on the future. Sending endless amounts of worry there. You worry about how things will turn out. You fear it might get worse. You find it hard to believe that it could be better. And again and again, you get lost in the hope that everything will somehow be okay.
Every time you are not consciously here, you lose the potential of the present moment. You lose the potential of everything that this moment offers. You lose life itself. Every time you are not aware of the here and now, you lose yourself and turn into someone who only exists to survive, instead of living simply because they are alive.
The moment of here and now is all that truly exists. You cannot return to the past, and when you arrive in the future, it becomes the present of here and now. Therefore, the most meaningless waste of time is everything that pulls you away from the present moment.
Because everything that is not here, is not truly real. And if you are not here, neither are you real. The only truth then is that you are not living the full potential of your soul’s choice.
So how can you be more here and less there? Less in the past or the future? The role that brings you directly into awareness of the present is the role of the observer. The observer allows you to step out of your thoughts and realize that your thoughts are not You. Start observing them. You can begin by writing them down and then checking how many are truly connected to the present moment. If they are not, if you find they are focused on the past or future, consciously bring them back here. Into the moment of here and now. And observe what this moment is giving you.
If you are cooking lunch, be the cooking of lunch. Experience the food you are preparing. Notice your feelings in that moment and be grateful for everything you are experiencing through observation. The same goes if you are reading a story to your child, taking a shower, or leading a meeting. If you are fully the observer of what is, you cannot think about what will be. Because that is not your task, and even less the purpose of life — to think about what you must do next while doing something now. Be the observer of the experience with the intention to live it in its most authentic form, without personal interpretation. That’s it. That’s all you need to truly accept the present moment.
Because until you accept what is, you cannot become all that you are. That is why it is truly time to stop resisting what is. And let go. Let go of the past, because it no longer exists. Free the future, so that without your interference, it may unfold in the fullness of its intention.
And be aware, dear human, that the more you are here, the sooner you will be there — there, in the fulfillment of your desires. Because only from here is everything possible. Because only here can you be in real contact with yourself. Otherwise, you are in contact with the illusion of yourself and the world, as interpreted by your ego.
The moment of here and now is the source of abundance. So why would anyone want to be anywhere else? Madness!
Put down the illusion of time. You cannot control time. But you can control your attention. The more it is focused on here, the lighter and more effective your life will be. And most importantly — you know what? The more it will truly be Yours.
And finally, this… There is no such thing as real perfection. So stop searching for it. But there is perfect Truth. And it awaits you here. Accept it. Be!
